Stella Adler Studio of Acting - New York

Ariana spent the summer in New York learning the fundamentals of the Stella Adler methodology:
-
Imagination: An actor's primary tool to create a character's life and the world in which they inhabit
-
Given Circumstances: Using the script’s context to fuel performance, not personal pain that can lead to unsustainable acting
-
Action: Playing physical actions - not emotions - to produce authentic emotional results
-
Between the Lines: Using subtext to inform your characters and decisions
-
Research: Thoroughly investigating the playwright's world when the play was written
-
Bachelor of Fine Arts Theatre
-
Colorado State University
-
Ariana choose to be trained by Colorado State University because of their vision statement: "As theatre makers, we believe in telling stories of our world, speaking truth to power, and rehearsing new possibilities. Our students practice theatre as a powerful force for social change and community engagement. We believe art is the antidote to a dehumanizing world that too often prevents us from seeing each other’s mutual humanity."
